ROLE SUMMARY:

Front of house manager oversee the interview and hiring processes for positions such as servers, hosts, bussers, and bartenders. They also oversee, direct, and actively participate in the training of personnel in these positions.

Front of house manager keeps a positive attitude while making staff and guest relations. Ensures guest happiness with 100% table touches. Encourages staff and sets the standard for great service.

Additionally, front of house manager supervises the cleanliness and upkeep of the dining room and guest contact areas, including restrooms and host stand.

Finally, the front of house manager supervises individual shifts, helping ensure that dining guests are served in a manner that meets the standards set by the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes a strategic plan
  • Manages Restaurant Environment
  • Run daily/nightly shifts
  • Keeps the restaurant clean and holds the staff to that standard
  • Micros and OpenTable knowledge
  • Ensures guest contact through 100% table touches
  • Maintains a positive attitude and work environment
  • Cascades messages to upper-level management and to service staff
  • Extensive menu knowledge
  • Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines
  • Encouraging staff relationships
  • Responsible for daily deposits, and the correct operation of the POS systems
  • Work closely with the Back of House Manager to provide a seamless experience
  • Maintaining and directing the host stand
  • Conflict resolution

  • Follows procedures regarding operation of restaurant equipment (including fryers, ovens,
  • etc.)
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 30 feet
  • Able to push/pull up to 90 lbs up to 30 feet
  • Able to stand and walk for a majority of work shift
  • Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications including word and excel
  • High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearances
  • Follows restaurant cash handling safety and security procedures
  • Adheres to restaurant and City/State/United States safety requirements
  • Minimum 2 year management experience
  • Knowledge of and compliance with restaurant's Human Resources policies and processes
